Keep the party going

Wedding DJ Services to

As wedding DJs, we believe in setting the tone, reading the room, and facilitating the evening - not trying to star in our own show.

When you choose us to DJ your wedding, we understand you have entrusted us with great responsibility. Your DJ alone can control the flow and tone of your entire wedding day.

There’s a difference between DJs that entertain and the ones that facilitate. Entertainers are excellent performers, they love being the center of attention, and they’re there to put on a show. As DJs, we consider ourselves to be facilitators, rather than entertainers. This is your day, and your guests are there to celebrate you and to have a good time. We’ll facilitate all the events you want (grand march, 1st dances, bouquet/garter tosses, cake cutting) and none of the ones you don’t.

And when we aren’t announcing? We’ll stay out of the way and do what we do best: play great music.

Before Your Wedding Day

We’ll take the time to go over every detail with you. Some couples pick every song, some leave it totally up to us, but most go for that sweet spot where we combine our song knowledge and experience with your picks and guest requests. We’ll also want to make sure we’ve learned the processional order and the entrance details ahead of time if needed. You have complete control over which events you’d like us to facilitate, and once you let us know, we take it from there so you don’t have to worry about those details anymore.

Uplighting

Our uplighting is available as an add-on to our & DJ packages. Choose from 6, 12, 18, and 24 light packages to be placed around the room to really make your event venue pop. They’re great for accenting walls, pillars, drapes, dance area, head table, etc. You pick the color for the lights and we take it from there. If you have specific areas you want lit, just let us know! Our lights are battery operated and wirelessly controlled so there are NO cords for your guests to trip on!

Unless you are booking the Full Day DJ package by Ryan Veil, DJ scheduling is based on individual availability. We maintain a roster of around 10-12 trained and skilled DJ’s at any given time. Our office staff will work with you to coordinate details such as timelines and song requests beforehand and you’ll meet your DJ on your wedding day.

Studio Veil maintains several public playlists on Spotify. Simply search for “studioveil” from your Spotify account or copying and pasting https://open.spotify.com/user/studioveilsi=06a8e6ace8ce47c1 into your web browser and check out the song ideas we have in our public playlists. You can also Google “best father/daughter songs” or whatever you’re looking for.

Absolutely! It’s your day, not ours. Some couples leave it totally up to us, and others pick every song. Most fall somewhere in the middle. This is where we combine our experience with guest requests to play music that everyone will enjoy.

Studio Veil offers a sound system add-on for the ceremony if needed. We arrive 60-90 minutes before the ceremony to load in and set up. Two handheld wireless microphones are available for the officiant, wedding couple, musicians, and readers to use. Musicians may also plug into our soundboard, but they must provide their own cables to go from the instrument to the soundboard. We can also play requested music. Please note that there will be a little downtime between the ceremony and reception as we work to move the equipment.

We typically arrive 1 hour before guest arrival to load in and set up. Music begins playing when 1st guests arrive. At the end of the night, it’ll take approximately 45 minutes to tear down and load out.

Well, we’re not the kind of DJs that don’t know when to shut up. We consider ourselves as more facilitators than entertainers. Your guests are there to have a good time- not to listen to us talk all night. We’ll facilitate all the events you want (grand march, 1st dances, bouquet/garter tosses, cake cutting) and none of the ones you don’t. Unless there’s an announcement that needs to be made or one of the above events taking place, we let good music decisions do the talking for us. In our experience, if guests don’t want to dance, nothing we do or say will change that. And if they DO want to dance, they will love the music choices we make!

We use LED lighting which takes very little energy and puts out very little heat. You won’t burn up from the hot lights as you might from traditional stage lighting. Our lights change colors with the music to create a nice ambiance, but we do not use club or party lighting such as strobes, lasers, and fog machines.

Studio Veil aims to make your wedding planning simpler. There are no hidden fees or extras you will be charged for later (unless you add services to your contract). The only things to keep in mind beyond the stated prices are sales tax for uncle Sam and gratuity should you decide to tip your vendors.

As with any service industry, tipping wedding vendors is appreciated, but not required. All day long, they will be with you, helping to create life-long memories. One industry article explained it this way: “If you tip a server for bringing you a meal, why wouldn’t you tip the vendors bringing you the best day of your life?” Some people ask what a normal tip is. There’s no right or wrong answer. Some websites state specific amounts; others, percentages. The point isn’t the amount but rather the relationship between you and your photographer/videographer/DJ/photo booth attendant. We hope to provide the kind of quality service that compels you to show gratitude in that way at the end of the day.

We used Studio Veil for our DJ for our wedding, and are so happy we did! Jeremy kept people out on the dance floor all night with his music choices, helped us stay on schedule with everything, and made a lot of super helpful announcements for us throughout the night! We were a little worried with not having spoken directly with our DJ prior to the event, but he was very on top of it and took everything we had asked for and made it a reality! So many people have raved about our DJ and how amazing he was all night. Highly recommend!
