you are surrounded by love

you’ll want to remember this day forever

That’s why when it comes to wedding photography, we take our job very seriously. We don’t just show up, shoot, and burn. We’re going to take the time to get to know you, to capture your engagement, and to customize your experience until it is as unique as your love story. After your wedding, we’ll edit your images so that you get the kind of quality you deserve.

Why We Do It

We see too many stressed-out brides. Our goal is to create a stress-free space for you to enjoy your day. We make it easy for you to have a high-quality, low-stress experience, so you can relax and have fun with the ones you love, knowing we’re there to capture every moment.

We may have photographed hundreds of weddings, but we guarantee you’ll feel like our favorite.

Your Photographer, Your Choice

All of our photographers are skilled at what they do, but we want to ensure you get the best fit for you

All of our photographers work with a similar style and are held to the same high standard. You can get to know our photo team by following the link below. When you're ready to move forward with Studio Veil, we will confirm who's available and you can pick the photographer that's your perfect fit.

Once your online gallery is available, you can designate which photos you’d like for your photo album. We recommend 2-3 images per page in an album, so a 20-page album should have 40-60 photos selected. Once we finish your album design, you’ll have the opportunity to proof it before we order it.

After your wedding, Studio Veil will go through all the images and edit the best of the best. To ensure quality, this process takes about a month. When they are uploaded, you will receive an email with a link and instructions to view the photos and share them with your family & friends.

A digital download will be made available to you after editing is complete. While Studio Veil still maintains ownership of the images and all copyright laws are still in effect, you are granted printing rights for personal use.

Images may not be published for commercial use without Studio Veil’s permission.

Our engagement sessions are 60-90 minutes in length and on location anywhere in the Twin Cities metro area. As often as possible, your engagement photographer will also be your wedding photographer. These sessions are a great opportunity for you, to get to know your photographer and for the photographer to learn about you and how to capture your natural personality in photos. Once editing is complete, you will receive an email with a link to your online gallery as well as an email with a link to download the digital files.

Studio Veil aims to make your wedding planning simpler. There are no hidden fees or extras you will be charged for later (unless you add services to your contract). The only things to keep in mind beyond the stated prices are sales tax for uncle Sam and gratuity should you decide to tip your vendors.

As with any service industry, tipping wedding vendors is appreciated, but not required. All day long, they will be with you, helping to create life-long memories. One industry article explained it this way: “If you tip a server for bringing you a meal, why wouldn’t you tip the vendors bringing you the best day of your life?” Some people ask what a normal tip is. There’s no right or wrong answer. Some websites state specific amounts; others, percentages. The point isn’t the amount but rather the relationship between you and your photographer/videographer/DJ/photo booth attendant. We hope to provide the kind of quality service that compels you to show gratitude in that way at the end of the day.

When it comes to photography and your wedding day, we stress the importance of not rushing the photographer or yourselves. It’s difficult to produce high-quality images when we’re constantly behind schedule and all the family/wedding party are just trying to “get to the reception.” Additionally, you don’t want memories of your wedding day to consist of being stressed out due to time!

We recommend you allow 3 hours for wedding party & family portraits. (If any of the photos are happening off-site, please keep travel times in mind as well.) For ease of flow in this schedule, we highly recommend doing photos before the ceremony. Setting up a pre-ceremony “first look” not only gives the two of you an intimate moment together, but it’s also a wise time-conscious decision. Capturing the images of the two of you together before the ceremony will make for the most smooth transition to the reception afterward (and no waiting around for hours for your guests.)

When it comes to photography, we definitely subscribe to the philosophy that “two are better than one.” We have a few reasons for using a second photographer:

1. Multiple angles of coverage during the main events
and extra set of eyes to make sure posing is just right in group photos

2. Improved creativity as our photographers work off each others’ ideas and keep things fresh throughout your wedding day.

We cannot say enough about our photographers from Studio Veil! Daniel was our main photographer, and we had so much fun with him at our engagement shoot. We got a lot of great photos, and we were able to use them 1 week after the session to incorporate into all of our content for the wedding. Ryan and Holly were quick to respond to any questions Eric or I had leading up to our wedding day, which was helpful under the wedding frenzy. :) On our wedding day, we had Alex as our second photographer, and she was great as well. Having outdoor photos, she was jumping in to help me with my train on the windy, wet October ground and make sure things looked perfect - she even helped pin the flowers on the groomsmen and groom! They were both receptive to any requests we had, and made the photo sessions fun and quick. Getting our photos back timely, we are thrilled with the results and the amount of photos taken. We cannot thank them enough for capturing our wedding!
