“How much time should we allot for photos?”
Every year we have a review between all the photographers and list the top five weddings; every year they all have something in common and that is all were given plenty of time to work with the couple. During the wedding day there are many things we as photographers have to capture, most importantly is a selection of photos with just our newlyweds. So it’s always tough when we are given 45 minutes to work with the bridal party and the couple. Most couples have no idea what goes into a thorough photo shoot, and just how long it can take to get a wide selection of photos to pull from. If it is important to have a wide selection of images with the bridal party and the couple then expect to set aside an hour to 90 minutes of photographer time. This means that for the first 20-30 minutes you are working with the whole bridal party, and the other 40-60 minutes are scheduled with just your spouse and the photographers.
These two weddings, Matt & Betsy and April & Colin, had an ample amount of time set aside for their photo.
