What You’ll Need
A great place to find paper and matching envelopes: papersource.com or paper-papers.com
Preparing & Printing
Step 1: Print and cut your Announcement (4.75×6.75), Information Card (3.5×5) and Response card (3.5×5) on desired cardstock and cut to the dimensions listed.
Make sure to use cardstock for Announcement so it doesn’t curl later. The fonts that we used are Aphrodite Slim Pro and Charlesworth
Tip: Make your Response Card a postcard style! The USPS minimum size for postcards is 3.5×5 so the Response Card can use postcard stamps, which helps cut costs!
Assembling
Step 2: Cut out Announcement Pocket (7×7.5).
Step 3: Score Announcement.
Use the tip of the bone folder to score the long side of the announcement at 5 inches.
Step 4: Fold and Glue Dot Announcement.
Fold the announcement where you scored by using the side of the bone folder. Add the glue dots to the two corners of the pockets. Fold and secure.
Step 5: Add the 3-inch Lace to the printed Announcement.
Cut lace 6 inches long and lay over the left side of the Announcement. Flip carefully and add 3 inch long pieces of double sided tape to the top and bottom of the announcement. Secure lace on the announcement and make sure lace is snug but not too tight. The double-sided tape isn’t permanent so it allows you to remove the ribbon and adjust as needed.
Step 6: Trim Lace and add Glue Dots
Trim lace by the corners. (The Glue Dots stick better to the paper). Don’t trim too close to the top or bottom or lace will unravel towards the front of your invites. Add glue dots to all four corners.
Step 7: Attach Printed Announcement to Pocket Announcement
Step 8: Tie Ribbon
About 1/3 from the top tie ribbon by first making a knot. Make sure the outside of the lace folds in toward the invite and not out towards you. Then finish by adding a bow.
Step 9: ENJOY!!
