DIY Wine Bottle Label
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and we have 3 perfect gift ideas. All of them are DIY to add that extra touch of special. These 3 projects could also be used for shower gifts, anniversary gifts, wedding gifts or birthday gifts. Yesterday we shared the DIY Wine Glasses. Project #2 is a DIY Wine Bottle Label.
For this project you are going to need the following…
- 1 bottle of Wine (Make sure the Wine label does not go all the way around the bottle)
- 1 photo printed on cardstock or regular paper* *(Measure the wine label so you know how big to print your photo)
- Mod Podge – Matte Finish
- Sponge paint brush
- Scissors
- Paper Towel or Wet Wipe (wet work best)
After cutting out your photos you are going to attach them to your bottle. First you are going to apply a good layer of Mod Podge to the bottle itself. Then lay your photo on top and smooth it out.
Next you are going to apply a thick layer of Mod Podge to the top of the photo. Do not worry because it will dry clear. I still like to make sure the strokes are going the same way.
To make your bottle look neat, take a paper towel or wet wipe and clear off the extra Mod Podge from around the photo.
Make sure all the edges are sealing and let the bottle dry.
Once dry, it’s ready for gifting! Or crack it open and enjoy yourself! Pair this together with our DIY Wine Glasses and you have a perfect gift.
