Now, we really hope you don’t have any emergencies on your wedding day, but just in case… we suggest you keep a wedding emergency kit on hand! Today we are here to make it easier for you by listing out all the essentials that should go in your wedding day emergency kit, but feel free to customize it or add items to fit your needs!
Make sure to leave your wedding day emergency kit in a safe, but easily accessible location, you know, in case of an emergency.
Kleenex – because you know you’re going to cry.
Toothbrush, toothpaste, & mouthwash – if you’re enjoying coffee or a mimosa while getting ready, you may want to keep these on hand to freshen up your breath a bit before your big kiss.
Razors & shaving cream – for any last minute touch ups or for a fresh, clean shave.
Deodorant – because it’s going to be a long day, and you’re going to be dancing the night away, you don’t want to have to worry about working up a bad odor.
Nail kit – in case you chip a nail, you’ll be able to clip it and file it to have beautiful nails again.
Water, snacks, and energy drinks – It’s going to be a LONG day. Make sure to stay hydrated with enough water, keep a couple energy drinks in case you start to feel tired, and don’t forget to eat! Most brides feel so busy that they forget to eat. Snacks are important!
Tampons & pads – in case Mother Nature decides to invite herself to your wedding.
Ibuprofen – you never know when a headache may appear, keep ibuprofen on hand.
Tums – heartburn is something many people experience, these may come in handy.
Fab Feet – these back of heel cushions will be your best friend, especially if you didn’t break your shoes in before your big day.
Ponytails, bobby pins, hair comb & hairspray – your hair stylist should have this covered, but if anything falls out of place, these will be a lifesaver.
Baby wipes – you don’t have to have a baby to take advantage of these! Use them as hand wipes, makeup remover wipes, anything you could need a wet wipe for.
Tide Pen – ANYTHING can happen. The last thing you want is a stain on your bridesmaids’ dresses, or worse, your own dress!
Lint Roller – Pets in the wedding? Maybe you just want to do a quick brush over to make sure no stray hairs or lint are hanging around.
Bug Spray – depending on the season of your wedding, and if you’ll be outdoors at all, bug spray may be very beneficial to keep those pesky critters away from you!
Contact Solution – if you wear contacts, keep this in your emergency kit in case they start to dry out or your eyes get irritated.
Hand sanitizer – in case your hands get dirty and you’re not in the position to run to the restroom and wash your hands.
Sewing kit – Mistakes can happen, whether you end up with a snag or rip, keeping a small sewing kit on hand may come in handy!
Mints – You’re going to be doing a lot of talking (and kissing!) on your wedding day. Keeping a small tin of mints close by will ensure you have fresh breath all day long
Fashion tape – If you have any sort of gap in between your wedding dress and bra or skin, using fashion tape will fix that problem right away!
Safety pins – In case a strap breaks, or a hem comes undone (maybe you forgot a sewing kit), safety pins can come in handy too!
Q-tips – They’re useful for more than just cleaning your ears! If your eye makeup starts to smudge, or you have a little fallout, a q-tip will take care of that without smudging or ruining the rest of your makeup!
Chapstick – Like I mentioned before, you’re going to be doing a lot of talking and kissing, make sure to keep your lips moisturized all day long!
Band-aids – In case you get a cut or prick, these bandaids will come in handy.
Lotion – You want your skin looking it’s best. Keep lotion on hand to keep it moisturized.
These are the items we put in our wedding day emergency kit! Through it altogether in a tote like we did, or even a small bag and keep it on hand!
