Minneapolis Summer Date Night Ideas

Spring is here! Which means summer is right around the corner. I heard on the radio this morning that since April 1st, we’ve only had 6 days at or above 70 degrees… We do live in Minnesota…
So, hopefully summer is right around the corner. With that being said, I wanted to give you some free and cheap date ideas to do in or around the Twin Cities area!

Visit the Como Zoo & Conservatory

Como Zoo and Conservatory is a great way to spend a sunny day! See the outdoor animals, view the exotic plants in their various gardens, and if you’re bringing the kiddos, they have a fun area with rides and a jungle gym specifically for them! The zoo offers free entrance, but bring cash as donations are greatly appreciated.

Minnehaha Falls

Minnehaha Falls is a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city. This park offers trails, biking paths, a garden, public art, a wading pool, and more. Oh, and did I mention a breathtaking waterfall??

Mill City Museum (& Farmers Market)

Mill City Museum is an incredible showpiece of architecture. Visit the museum and special exhibits to learn about the limestone ruins and take a peek at the breathtaking view of the river. If you visit on a Saturday, you can also enjoy the Mill City Farmers Market where you can find a wide source of healthy and local groceries, cooking education, and live entertainment.

I know this is only available for a week and a half, but this is one of the best ways to wrap up the summer! Take a day enjoying all the entertainment, shopping, some Sweet Martha’s Cookies, and of course, as much food on a stick as you can handle.
