Well, I think it’s safe to say that winter is finally here… and if you’re like me, that means you just want to stay in, sit by the fire, drink hot cocoa and not step foot outside for about the next 4 months. However; that’s not really feasible. So; I’m here to give you some winter date night ideas that even those who would much rather stay indoors during the blistering cold, will love!
Visit Kiwani’s Holiday Lights – Mankato, MN

This park in Mankato gets turned into a winter wonderland during this time of the year! Nearly every inch is decorated in beautiful Christmas lights, organizations decorate Christmas trees and create ice sculptures, and you can even see Santa and his reindeer!
After walking through the park, you can drive through it as well; turn your radio dial and have Christmas music that goes along with the changing lights!
Ice Skating at Centennial Lake – Edina, MN
Free admission – $6 skate rental
Enjoy time together ice skating on Centennial Lake’s 10 acres of ice! Afterwords hang out by the fireplace and warm up with some hot cocoa inside the warming house.
Explore the Ice Castles – Excelsior, MN

The Ice Castles are BEAUTIFUL; if you’ve never seen them before. It’s amazing how some people are talented enough to turn frozen water into such incredible creations.
