Romance is in the air, can you feel it? Ahh… Valentine’s Day. Now, if you dread Valentine’s Day and everything about it, this post probably isn’t for you – but if you’re like me and you LOVE spending time with your better half (really, any day of the year) and are looking for an excuse to do something out of the norm for Valentine’s Day, then you are in the right spot!
Today I am here to give you some Valentine’s Day date ideas that aren’t your traditional dinner and chocolates kind of date night.
Carriage Rides along the St. Croix River

Take a stroll along the beautiful St. Croix river in a horse-drawn carriage! Accompany this evening by visiting the charming, local businesses that Stillwater has to offer! You won’t be disappointed by all the beauty that the city of Stillwater entails.
Visit the Foshay Tower

Take your loved one out for dinner at The Living Room or drinks at the Prohibition Bar, both located inside the Foshay Tower. Then head up to the observatory deck, where it may be cold, but the view of Minneapolis is breathtaking.

What better way to spend a few minutes on Valentine’s Day cuddling with puppies?! A $5 donation gives you only a few minutes to spend cuddling and playing with puppies, but 100% of the proceeds go to Midwest Animal Rescue.
