Are you in need of a unique gift idea? Or maybe just want to use some of your photos in a fun way? We have the perfect solution for you…DIY Drink Coasters! They are easy, frugual and fun!
Step 1: Head to your local JoAnn Fabric or Walmart and pick up your supplies.
*Mod Podge- Gloss Finish (small containers available)
*Rust-oleum Painter’s Touch- Semi Gloss Clear
*Felt Circles
*Paint Brush (sponge kind)
*Coasters (purchase at Home Depot, Lowes, Menards in the Flooring section)
*Photos- print on a laser printer on regular paper- NOT photo paper
*Paper cutter or scissors
Step 2: Place your coaster on top of your photos and measure where you will cut them down.
Step 3: Place your felt circles on the back of the tiles.
Step 4: After cutting out the photos, you are going to apply one layer of Mod Podge across the entire tile.
Step 5: Immediate place your photo on top of the Mod Podge. Pressing it down to ensure it attaches and that there are no bubbles.
Step 6: Apply a layer of Mod Podge on top of the photo. The photo will appear white but the Mod Podge will dry clear.
Step 7: After the Mod Podge has dried. Take the coasters outside or to the garage and spray the Rust-oleum clear coat. This protects them from water damage when being used as a coaster.
Step 9: Let dry for the recommended time on the bottle. Once they are completely dry they are ready to use!
