Josiah & Alissa (September 2019)

Josiah & Alissa got married on a BEAUTIFUL September day at one of my favorite venues…the Hope Glen Farm. I had the privilege of working the Twin Cities Photo Bus for their wedding and I was stationed right next to this cute little coffee cart that they had available for their guests. Not being a coffee drinker myself, I took advantage of their hot chocolate offerings and it did not disappoint. Josiah & Alissa were such a fun couple to work with and not just because they LOVED the photo bus (although that does get them pretty high on my list). They and their guests were fun loving, relaxing, and a total joy to work with. Here’s a little from Alissa on what stood out from her big day!

“After our ceremony was finished and we had a chance to greet everyone, Josiah and I took a moment to sit on a porch swing that over looked our reception area. We had a chance to sit together and look out over all the people that loved and cared about us. It was one of those moments in life that is surreal and etched in our memory. That day was long awaited and we had a moment to be thankful for each other and all those around us.”

“For our first look, I was worried it would feel staged knowing photography and videography were present. But the moment Josiah and I saw each other all of those concerns disappeared. We had time to visit, laugh and pray over our new life together. I knew others were around us but we had space to have our special moment. Now I’m grateful that moment was captured because I look at the pictures and it brings me right back to how sweet that time was.”

“Some of my sweetest memories are during our photography time as a couple. We were away from the crowd getting a chance to talk and laugh together. I remember walking down a vineyard after our ceremony to get more pictures. I remember it being more than just taking photos, it was a special time walking with my new husband in the stillness of the vineyard. I also, remember laughing when we were trying to figure out how to stand next to a large LOVE sign on the side of barn to get a fun shot.”
